The scent reads like a Florentine market stall in late autumn, when citrus crates are stacked beside bundles of dried herbs and the air carries the sting of fresh spice. It captures the texture of a spice market on a cool morning, where warmth rises from heaped powders and dried stems. The composition leans on a generous pour of ginger and nutmeg over a green-cypress spine, with the pepper implied rather than declared. Cypress threads through the opening and middle acts, lending a resinous coolness that keeps the spice from feeling cooked or heavy.
The architecture of the fragrance is what gives it presence. The house stacks the heat between two cool layers: basil, bergamot, lemon, and mandarin up top keep the opening sharp and clean, while oakmoss and vetiver in the base anchor everything in something green and grounded.
