Inspired by an experience in the Valais of Switzerland, Le Réveil was conceived as a scent that translates a specific kind of morning. Not just any morning, this one where light acts differently against stone, where alpine air carries something both clean and feral. DL Jenkins distills that landscape into a fragrance by starting at the beginning: wild strawberry on the tongue of the valley. White chocolate. Rum. Things that arrive before you expect them to. The truffle grows earthier. The sweetness doesn't disappear, but it stops leading. The heart phase runs 3 to 7 hours: heliotrope powder, clove spice, and the animalic note holding the strawberry and chocolate in check. Now the fragrance is less approachable and more honest. By mid-drydown, white oud, mitti attar, and vanilla Caviar consolidate into an earthy-creamy base that stays close and warm for another 4 to 6 hours. The projection weakens to intimate.

Le Réveil occupies an interesting position in niche perfumery, the strong animalic drydown and confident sillage diverge from the restraint that often defines indie compositions.
