The beginning
DL Jenkins founded Pictura Fragrans in 2023 with the conviction that scent operates as a transformative medium. Le Reveil draws from an experience in the Valais of Switzerland, where morning light hits ancient stone walls with unusual clarity and alpine air carries both freshness and something feral beneath. That moment of clean-meets-wild, crystalline air meeting darker undercurrents, became the guiding principle. The opening notes of woodland strawberry and white chocolate evoke the sweetness of alpine meadows at dawn, while green notes and lavender capture the sharp clarity of mountain air. Rum introduces the warmth of stone walls absorbing early light.
The note selection reflects a specific philosophy: sweetness without cloying, animalic without rawness, earth without heaviness.
