Why it exists.
The beginning
Foxy, released in 2017, sets out to capture a single, slippery idea: the sensation of fur against skin. Not a literal fox. The idea of foxy. The kind of ease that comes from knowing exactly what you're wearing, the loose-shouldered confidence of someone who already won the room. The composition is built around a fur accord, a deliberate stack of animalic materials that includes castoreum, hyraceum, costus, and even mitti attar. The opening goes boozy and spiced, apple whiskey and ginger biscuit pouring out before the soft stuff underneath gets a chance to settle in. It's a deliberate contrast. Sweet on top. Growl underneath.
What separates Foxy from the long lineage of animalic fragrances is the fur accord itself. Rather than relying on a single musky material, the formula layers castoreum, hyraceum, costus, and fossilised amber alongside a literal sable fur note. That combination delivers a warmth without aggressive barnyard, threading the needle between feral and wearable. The cumin and labdanum push the drydown toward resinous territory, beeswax gives it a candlelit texture, and the mitti attar pulls in a loamy, earthen underside that reads more like skin warmth than animal.
The evolution
The opening is a cocktail hour. Apple whiskey and white cognac pour in generous, ginger biscuit warmth spreading across the top. Then the spices arrive, thyme and that prickly ginger heat turning the opening toward something you can feel in your sinuses. Sweetness lingers, peach skin and a touch of vanilla-edged resin, but it doesn't stay polite for long. The florals make their entrance, and they're not here to soften anything. Iris gives a powdery coolness, carnation brings its clove-spice sting, and jasmine absolute layers in a dense, heady sweetness. Orange blossom absolute rounds the edges just enough to keep the blend human. The animalic notes begin surfacing here, subtle at first, weaving through the florals before claiming more space. As the hours pass, the fur accord settles into full command.

Foxy arrived in 2017 as a distinctive entry in the animalic fur accord space.
