Why it exists.
The beginning
In 2021, Omanluxury marked the 91st National Day of Saudi Arabia with a fragrance built for that singular occasion. Only 91 pieces were produced. The brief was simple: take the house's original Paramour and give it a new dimension. Perfumer Ahmed Al Esri answered with a floral-oud twist that added warmth and vibrance to the composition. It became the re-edition nobody expected to love this much.
The structure here is unusual for a limited release. Instead of compressing into a single bold statement, Paramour 91 moves through phases that feel like separate fragrances arriving in sequence. The top is fruity-spicy and effervescent, the heart is rich and floral-heavy, the base is leather-forward with a sweetness that refuses to fade. That arc is what makes it worth wearing more than once. You notice something different each time.
The evolution
The opening arrives quickly: raspberry and bergamot, bright and almost tangy. Grapefruit adds a bitter edge that keeps it from feeling sweet too early. Warm saffron weaves through the citrus, bringing a subtle spiced richness that deepens the initial burst. The hand-off to the heart is seamless. Rose and jasmine sambac take over, lush and full, with lily adding a soft green undertone that stops the florals from becoming heavy. Cinnamon threads warmth through the petals, creating an intimate floral heart that feels both opulent and grounded. The leather doesn't announce itself. It settles in quietly, underneath, binding the florals to the base. The drydown unfolds gradually: oud, caramel, vanilla, and tonka bean creating a warm, sweet, slightly animalic cloud that stays intimate and close to the skin.
