The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Lentezza Carezza translates to 'slowness' and 'caress', an Italian meditation on deceleration. The fragrance asks what it means to resist the pace of modern life, to sink into the limits of silence and listen to life differently. Filippo Sorcinelli built this scent around the idea that slowing down is not laziness but revolution, that bathing in unhurried beauty repairs something in us. The name itself is the brief: an unhurried encounter, a tender touch, a summer afternoon that refuses to end.
What makes Lentezza Carezza distinctive is its refusal to rush you. The opening bursts with green fruitiness, prickly pear giving a slightly tart, exotic quality, then transitions into a luminous floral heart that unfolds gradually over hours. The warm, powdery drydown stays close to the skin, creating an intimate aura rather than announcing itself. This is a fragrance that asks you to commit to the slow burn. It rewards patience with depth: what seems simple at first becomes layered, warm, and quietly unforgettable. The prickly pear note, unusual and specific, gives it a Mediterranean summer quality that lingers beneath the floral and balsamic layers.
The evolution
The opening announces itself with a burst of green fruitiness, prickly pear leading, bergamot catching the citrusy spark. Orange adds brightness. Myrrh quietly underneath, warming. This phase reads fresh, slightly tart, summery. Unhurried. The heart develops over the next several hours: green accord and cedarwood provide structure while jasmine and cyclamen bloom through. The florals are luminous, not heavy, floating through the green rather than overpowering it. The drydown arrives gradually, never dramatically. Sandalwood and benzoin create a warm, powdery cushion. Vanilla and tonka bean bring soft sweetness. Prickly pear echoes faintly beneath. Musk wraps it all close, intimate, skin-warm, yours. On most skin types, the full arc spans 8-10 hours. The next morning, a trace of warm powder remains at the pulse point.
