The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Eudora has been making fragrance feel like play since 2011, the Brazilian brand from Grupo Boticário that treats scent as self-expression rather than status. Niina Secrets is a collaboration with Brazilian YouTuber Niina Secrets, a creator known for beauty and lifestyle content with a devoted following across Latin America. Christelle Laprade composed the fragrance in 2023, translating the brief into something that felt personal rather than promotional. The goal wasn't a celebrity vanity project. It was a scent that captured a specific kind of warmth, the warmth of afternoon light, of fruit you eat with your hands, of Brazil itself.
The note structure is worth pausing on. The top fruits arrive fast and don't linger, they're the greeting, not the conversation. What's unusual is how coconut behaves in the heart. Here, it doesn't read as sunscreen or piña colada. It reads as warmth itself, a material that softens the white florals without sweetening them further. Gardenia, jasmine, rose, and tuberose together create density, not noise. The base is where the composition earns its longevity: sandalwood and cedar provide structure, vanilla and musk add skin-proximity, and patchouli keeps everything grounded in something slightly earthy rather than purely dessert-like.
The evolution
The opening hits bright and fruity, blackcurrant and pear arrive together, with peach adding softness. Within ten minutes, coconut arrives and everything shifts from tart to warm. The white florals don't announce themselves; they accumulate slowly, gardenia first, then jasmine, then the tuberose peeking through by the thirty-minute mark. The fruits fade entirely by the second hour, replaced by a creamy, tropical warmth that sits close to skin. The drydown is where sandalwood and vanilla take over, with cedar adding just enough structure to keep it from going fully gourmand. On clothing, it lingers into the next day, faint, warm, still recognizable.
Cultural impact
Niina Secrets represents a growing trend of influencer-branded fragrances in the Brazilian beauty market, where content creators leverage their personal brands to connect with younger consumers. The 2023 launch tapped into Niina Secrets' established digital audience, offering a scent that reflects her visual and aesthetic identity. This collaboration model differs from traditional celebrity fragrances by emphasizing relatability and community engagement over mass-market appeal. The fragrance's fruity-floral-gourmand profile mirrors the casual, vibrant sensibility of Brazilian social media culture, making luxury perfumery feel more accessible to her followers.
