The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
The name says everything. Audaz, audacious, bold, unapologetic. The fragrance opens with bright citrus, mandarin and bergamot that feel clean and immediate, almost sparkling on the skin. Magnolia and peach move in quickly, the peach note offering a ripe, slightly edible sweetness that adds unexpected depth. This isn't a fragrance that announces itself with subtlety. It arrives with intention, the top notes holding space long enough for the wearer to settle into something that promises more. The ylang-ylang and jasmine begin their work early, building toward the heart with a floral richness that feels confident rather than delicate. There's a warmth waiting in the base, amber and musk and something slightly mineral that keeps the whole thing grounded. The name doesn't invite compromise.
The heart notes don't arrive politely. Ylang-ylang from Madagascar, jasmine, Turkish rose, and a spike of cinnamon create a dense, almost aggressive bloom. The florals layer in quick succession, each one building on the last until the composition feels full and unapologetic. This is a fragrance that trusts the wearer to handle something with weight. The base amplifies that commitment: ambroxan, moss, and a proprietary accord create a foundation that keeps the florals grounded long after they'd normally recede.
The evolution
The opening arrives bright and immediate, mandarin, magnolia, peach. That peach note is the surprise: ripe, almost edible, like biting into fruit at peak season. These top notes take their turn center stage before the florals begin their work. Then the ylang-ylang, jasmine, and Turkish rose bloom in quick succession, building a heart that feels almost too rich at first, like walking into a room full of flowers with the door left open. Then something shifts. The cinnamon in the heart begins to work alongside the base notes, and the florals stop competing. They settle. Vanilla, tonka bean, patchouli, and bourbon vetiver move in. This is where the fragrance earns its name, the warmth becomes something you feel against your skin rather than detect in the air. The ambroxan does the heavy lifting in the drydown, creating a close, intimate presence that lingers.
Cultural impact
Magnific Audaz arrived in 2023, developed by perfumer Leslie Gauthier, whose work appears across the brand's more ambitious releases. Within the brand's own catalogue, this fragrance sits at the bolder end, leaning into density and presence rather than the lighter, more accessible character that dominates much of the range. The ylang-ylang from Madagascar carries a tropical, heady quality that gives the composition weight. Jasmine adds a creamy floral dimension.
