Spice D'Arno was born from Céline Barel’s fascination with the Arno river’s ever‑changing flow. In 2024, Electimuss asked her to translate that rhythm into scent, pairing comforting spices with a fresh, aquatic edge. The house’s Roman‑inspired narrative, drawing on ancient rituals and imperial grandeur, provides the framework, while the perfumer’s signature warmth grounds the composition in modern comfort.

Unlike many spice‑forward scents, this blend weaves unusual ingredients like bran absolute and iris into the heart, giving a powdery, slightly woody texture that softens the sharper cardamom and pink pepper. Leather adds a subtle animalic edge, while the citrus top keeps the opening bright, creating a balanced tension between raw spice and refined comfort.

At first, the perfume erupts with a bright splash of bergamot, lemon and pink pepper, the cardamom humming underneath like a hidden drum.
