Most compositions pick a side. This one insists on both. A fougère archetype with enough dates and herbal bitterness to keep it from drifting into cologne territory. The opening hits with bergamot and grapefruit that read almost fizzy, sharp enough to wake up a room but quickly grounded by mandarin and date, a fruit combination that leans more toward preserved pantry than fruit basket. Sage, thyme, and artemisia pull the citrus sideways into something astringent and almost medicinal, the kind of green that tightens the composition instead of loosening it.
