    Tzívia Segall

Tzívia Segall emerged from a modest workshop in São Paulo, where she first mixed pigments for local textile designers. She later enrolled in the Instituto de Perfumes de São Paulo, completing a formal program that emphasized raw material sourcing and classic French techniques. After graduation, she assisted senior noses at Barutti, learning to balance traditional accords with contemporary twists. In 2018 she launched her own label, Atelier Segall, and introduced L'eau de Sruti, a fragrance that quickly earned praise for its crisp aquatic heart and subtle herbal lift. The scent marked her breakthrough, positioning her as a fresh voice in the niche market. Since then she collaborates with Barutti on limited editions while maintaining a small‑batch studio where she experiments with sustainable extraction methods. Her career reflects a steady climb from apprentice to independent creator, driven by a quiet confidence and an eye for understated elegance.

    The signature

    How Tzívia composes

Her signature technique involves layering transparent accords before anchoring them with a modest base of woods or resins. She prefers citrus zest, marine notes, and green herbs for top layers, then adds soft florals such as freesia or violet leaf. Mid‑notes often feature tea, cucumber, or light spices, creating a bridge to a base of sandalwood, cedar, or ambergris. Tzívia frequently employs natural isolates to accentuate freshness without overwhelming the composition. The result is a clean, linear structure that feels both modern and timeless.

    Philosophy

    What drives Tzívia

Tzívia believes that scent should echo a moment rather than dominate it. She approaches each brief as a dialogue between memory and material, seeking ingredients that whisper rather than shout. Sustainability guides her choices; she favors ingredients harvested with minimal impact and often works with small‑scale growers. The creative spark arrives when a single aroma triggers a personal recollection, and she builds the composition around that anchor. She values restraint, allowing each note to breathe before introducing the next layer. This disciplined mindset keeps her work grounded while still inviting discovery.
