The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
DaisyEAU SO FRESH SKIES arrived in 2021 as the latest chapter in a line that began with the original Daisy in 2007. Alberto Morillas built the Daisy Eau So Fresh concept from the start, and this flanker gives him room to work in a cooler register. The 'Skies' concept signals something more open, more airy than the original, a scent that breathes differently. Where the original Daisy leaned into sunshine and strawberry sweetness, Skies turns toward violet powder and herbal clarity. It's the same house, the same house codes, but a different mood entirely.
What makes this composition interesting is the tea tree oil threading through both the opening and the base. It's an unusual choice for a feminine flanker, sharp, almost medicinal, with a green depth that keeps the sweeter notes from floating away. The gooseberry and grapefruit give the top a tart brightness, but the chamomile and violet in the heart pull everything toward a quiet powdery calm. Broom adds a green floral note that most people won't recognize by name but will feel as a soft, slightly honeyed herbal undertone. The cedar and musk base is clean without being cold, skin-warm, close, present without projecting. It's a composed fragrance for composed moments.
The evolution
The opening hits sharp and herbal, tea tree oil announces itself immediately, cutting through the gooseberry and grapefruit with a clean, almost medicinal bite. Within minutes, the grapefruit softens and violet steps forward, powdery and calm, while chamomile adds a quiet herbal sweetness. The hand-off from top to heart happens smoothly: the citrus fades, the violet and broom take over, and the composition settles into something softer and more floral. By the mid-point, the herbal edge has mellowed and the scent reads as powdery, green, and floral all at once. The drydown is where the cedar and musk do their work, a clean, dry wood that stays close to the skin, with the tea tree oil quietly lingering as a subtle herbal echo. On most skin types, this lasts 4-6 hours with moderate sillage. It doesn't fill a room. It doesn't need to.
Cultural impact
Daisy Eau So Fresh Skies occupies a quieter corner of the Daisy universe, for wearers who want the brand's DNA without the signature sunshine sweetness. Alberto Morillas, the master behind the original Fresh concept, brings his expertise to a composition built on violet powder and herbal freshness. The tea tree oil note is the unexpected element that divides opinion and defines the fragrance's character.
