Tilleul Cédrat arrived in 2013 as the fourth fragrance in Fragonard's Le Jardin de Fragonard collection, a spring launch that included scented soaps, candles, and diffusers. The name says everything: tilleul is linden, cédrat is citron. Two notes, one idea. Fragonard wanted to celebrate the linden tree, not as a novelty, but as the quiet hero it deserves to be. The collection took wearers on an scent experience through a garden, and this one planted itself under the tree.
What makes Tilleul Cédrat work is the bridge between its opening and its heart. The citrus top notes don't just arrive and leave, they soften as the linden blossom takes over, so the honeyed sweetness never feels like a separate phase.
