Why it exists.
The beginning
Moment Volé entered the Museum Treasures collection in 2013, Fragonard's homage to the artists whose work fills their Grasse museum. The name is a direct reference to Jean-Honoré Fragonard himself, whose paintings often capture fleeting stolen moments of intimacy, lovers caught in unfinished gestures and sidelong glances. The fragrance translates that sensibility into scent: something that arrives unexpectedly, lingers just long enough, and leaves before it overstays its welcome.
What makes Moment Volé's structure interesting is the way the violet does double duty. It opens green and slightly cool from the violet leaf, then returns in the heart as something softer, almost powdery, paired with iris. The raspberry and blackcurrant keep the top from reading as purely floral, there's a fruity brightness that gives it modern energy without tipping into sweetness. The Damask rose doesn't dominate; it supports, adding warmth to what could otherwise read as too cool. And the amber base is a quiet anchor, adding warmth without heaviness, the final gesture in a composition built for discretion.

The opening hits bright and tart, blackcurrant leading, raspberry following, violet leaf cutting through with that clean green snap. Within fifteen minutes, the fruity edge softens and the floral heart arrives: rose and iris wrapped around a second wave of violet that feels warmer, more intimate than the top. The transition isn't dramatic, it's a gentle hand-off. By the second hour, the drydown settles into amber's quiet warmth, staying close to skin for another four to five hours. On fabric, the violet-iris combination lingers well into the next day, faint, powdery, a ghost of the morning's scent.
