Why it exists.
The beginning
The Nomade collection has always been Chloe's passport to somewhere else, a scent that carries you out of the everyday. For Nomade Jasmin Naturel Intense, perfumer Caroline Dumur pushed further into richness, building on the Egyptian jasmine already central to the Nomade identity. Launched in 2023, this flanker asks what happens when you take the jasmine from the original and give it more weight, more sweetness, more staying power. The date and pear accord became the counterpoint: sweet fruit to ground the floral, keeping it from floating away entirely.
The pairing of jasmine with date is unusual. Dates bring a sticky, honeyed depth that reads almost caramel-like, but without the burn of caramel. It's warm and dense in a way that feels less like a dessert and more like something sun-dried, ancient, pulled from a warm kitchen. Dumur layered Egyptian jasmine on top, letting it bloom bright against the syrupy base. Freesia adds a slight coolness, a whisper of air. Sandalwood and vanilla in the base do what they always do: extend the warmth, make it last, make it skin-close.
The evolution
The opening hits fast and full. Mirabelle and pear arrive juicy and immediate, but they're quickly joined by the heavier jasmine and date, no waiting, no hesitation. Within twenty minutes, the fruitiness softens and the jasmine takes over, creamy and warm rather than sharp or indolic. The freesia fades early, doing its job quietly. By the hour mark, you're in the vanilla-sandalwood base. This is where it earns 'Intense', not through projection but through proximity. The drydown stays close, almost skin-close, warm skin rather than filling a room. On fabric, it lasts well into the next day.
Cultural impact
Nomade Jasmin Naturel Intense entered a crowded sweet-floral market in 2023, positioned as the richer sibling to the original Nomade Jasmin Naturelle. Wearers describe it as the scent of someone who gravitates toward warmth and sweetness, a confident choice, not a shy one. It sits alongside other Chloe florals in the collection but pushes further into density, appealing to those who found the original too sheer.
