Atelier Rebul has spent more than a century refining that original vision, and this fragrance is the house's quietest statement: we don't need to invent a story. The year is the story. Named for the origin itself.
The rhubarb-cardamom pairing is what makes this fragrance distinctive. Rhubarb brings a tart, green, almost astringent quality that's more vegetable than fruit, more stem than flower. Cardamom adds warmth and complexity, the kind of spice that makes you lean closer instead of pulling back. The evolution

The rhubarb is tart and green, almost medicinal. The cardamom adds dry spice. Neroli softens the transition without diluting it. This phase lasts for hours, it's the fragrance's main event. The drydown belongs to vetiver. Cedar and oakmoss arrive quietly, but vetiver dominates, earthy, root-like, slightly smoky. This is what remains.
