Daniel Visentin crafted this scent in 2008 as an exploration of rose beyond its conventional associations, but the composition's foundation in warm woods and resinous incense grounds it firmly in the brand's identity.
The note philosophy centers on rose as a statement material rather than a supporting player. Rather than softening it with predictable masculine fougere elements, Visentin surrounded it with spices and incense that amplify rather than diminish. The galbanum addition provides the necessary green counterweight to prevent the heart from becoming overly sweet. The frankincense and sandalwood base serves dual purposes: anchoring the composition for longevity while connecting it to Amouage's Arabian incense traditions.
