The beginning
Ixbeta was born on a clear May night when siblings Tiziana and Paolo Terenzi looked out over the flower-filled hills of their land. The Lynx constellation stretched above them, and one star, Beta, burned with unusual strength in a patch of sky where most stars stay faint. That stubborn brightness became the brief. Paolo Terenzi translated it into a composition that holds its glow without shouting: fruity enough to feel generous, powdery enough to feel considered, with a quiet oud that anchors everything like a fixed point in a dark sky. Launched in 2024 as part of the Luna Star collection, Ixbeta is the fragrance for those who keep shining when the surroundings go quiet.
The composition pulls from a genuinely global garden. Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian orange sit alongside Italian raspberry, Bulgarian rose, and Himalayan osmanthus, finished with Cambodian oud and Australian sandalwood. The sourcing serves a specific idea. Italian fruit, African geranium, Brazilian talc. The fruit is sweet, but the talc turns that sweetness slightly cosmetic, almost skin-like, and the Cambodian oud prevents the whole thing from drifting into confection. It is a floral-fruity that refuses to behave like one.
The evolution
The first twenty minutes are all surface brightness. Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange, and lemon cut clean, with redcurrant adding a tart edge that keeps the citrus from feeling generic. Cardamom warms the corners. Then the fruit thickens. Raspberry and peach arrive together, sweet but lifted by the tartness still hanging on, and violet slips underneath, giving the whole heart a powdery, slightly soapy softness that makes the rose and jasmine feel deliberate rather than decorative. Indian jasmine here is restrained, not indolic, more tea than syrup. As the hours pass, the fruit recedes and the base takes over with surprising weight. Australian sandalwood brings a creamy woodiness, the oud surfaces with its deep, earthy intensity described by the house, and Brazilian talc dusts everything with a cosmetic softness that recalls old-fashioned face powder.

The 2024 release positions it firmly within Terenzi's extrait-de-parfum catalog.
