The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Roja Dove has always treated perfumery as an act of couture, and Ti Amo, launched in 2016 as part of the Profumi D'Amore collection, is a direct expression of that philosophy. The collection is devoted entirely to the language of love, and Dove constructed Ti Amo with the precision of a couturier treating scent as an accessory to be worn rather than merely smelled. Trained under legendary perfumers in Grasse, Dove draws on classical perfumery techniques, combining them with a distinctly contemporary sensibility that results in fragrances with unmistakable presence and theatricality.
The note philosophy behind Ti Amo reflects Dove's belief that love is layered and complex, not simple or one-dimensional. The bright citrus opening represents the excitement of first attraction, the initial spark of chemistry. The floral heart embodies the depth and richness of an established connection, with each flower contributing a distinct emotional quality, Jasmine for sensuality, Rose for passion, Orange Blossom for devotion, Neroli for hope. The warm, spiced drydown captures the enduring comfort of love, with Cacao and Vanilla grounding the florals in something tactile and real, while spices like Saffron and Cinnamon add the quiet heat of intimacy.
The evolution
The journey of Ti Amo begins with a crisp, luminous citrus opening, Mandarin Orange and Bergamot, that feels like sunlight on skin. This clarity lasts roughly fifteen minutes before the fragrance pivots into its heart, a lush, layered floral arrangement that places Jasmine and Orange Blossom at the center while surrounding them with the softness of Heliotrope, the green brightness of Lily of the Valley, and the romantic warmth of Rose and Neroli. Pineapple introduces a barely-there tropical sweetness that keeps the florals grounded in something tangible rather than purely abstract. The evolution into the drydown is where the fragrance transforms in character. Cacao and Vanilla arrive together, creating an edible sweetness that feels indulgent and intimate. Sandalwood provides a creamy, woody counterpoint, while Orris Root smooths the edges with its powdery, violet-like dimension. Spices, Cinnamon, Ginger, Pink Pepper, emerge gradually, adding a gentle heat that builds without ever becoming aggressive.
Cultural impact
Since its 2016 debut, Ti Amo has drawn attention for its distinctive blend of citrus, white florals and gourmand warmth. It appears in discussions alongside other love-themed scents from the house, noted for its sillage and lasting impression. The fragrance’s mix of pineapple and chocolate creates an unexpected pairing that has captured the interest of fragrance enthusiasts. The composition brings together bright, effervescent top notes with a lush floral heart and a rich, enveloping base, creating a scent that feels both joyful and intimately romantic.
