A house, in its own words
The ROJA story begins with Roja Dove himself. His obsession with fragrance began in childhood, when scent could transport him to realms of perfection and dreams. At Cambridge, he abandoned his studies at 21 to join a French perfume house after writing to them so persistently they decided to employ him rather than receive more letters. Years later, after losing his mother, a close friend issued a challenge: your shadow is enormous in perfumery, but you have no product. Her words, combined with his mother's wish that the family name would endure, drove him to launch ROJA London in 2011 from Mayfair. The house achieved remarkable success without any marketing or advertising, building entirely on reputation and the strength of the creations themselves. In September 2024, ROJA received The Butterfly sustainability award. By 2025, new perfumers joined the house under Roja Dove's guidance, with Antoine debuting APEX EAU INTENSE and ISOLA VERDE, continuing the founder's mission to nurture future talent.
