The beginning
From Mayfair, Roja Dove constructed a house of opulence and precision, British eccentricity applied to the art of fragrance. Enigma arrived as a Parfum concentration, built in the same uncompromising spirit. But Enigma isn't about showing off. It's about disappearing into something soft, warm, and unresolved. The evolution
The opening lands quickly: bergamot lifts the peach, neroli adds a bitter-floral edge that keeps things from becoming girlish. Soon the florals begin their slow arrival, May rose first, then jasmine, each arriving with intention. Heliotrope deepens the powdery accord as the heart settles. The orris root asserts itself, and this is where Enigma earns its reputation. The powder isn't static, it shifts, cools, warms. Vanilla and musk keep the base intimate rather than theatrical. Sandalwood and patchouli provide the final architecture: clean, close, lasting.
