The beginning
Brasil Edition arrived in spring 2014 as one half of a limited pair, Yellow and Green, dressed in colors tied to Brazil. The inspiration drew from healthy competition in sport, extreme enthusiasm, enhancing friendships, and the adrenaline brought by sports success and excellent results. Yellow Brasil Edition was the women's side of that brief, built to carry that energetic, feel-forward charge. The 40 ml eau de toilette came in a collector's bottle, and the run was limited by design. The top opens with bergamot, blackberry, apple, and freesia, four notes that set a bright, almost sparkling tone before the fragrance moves into its warmer middle.
What makes this composition worth a second look is the tension it sets up between the synthetic-fruity mainstream and the warmer, more grounded base it eventually settles into.
