Why it exists.
The beginning
Smoky Soul emerged from the Sepia collection. Marc-Antoine Corticchiato reached for black tea. Not the clean brew of morning rituals, the smoked kind, the kind that carries char. The tea opens with a distinct smokiness that feels woven into the leaves themselves, a quiet ember rather than a roaring flame. There is a natural bitterness that balances the charred quality, giving the fragrance a grounded, authentic character. Osmanthus absolute follows, apricot-sweet and luminous, adding a fleshy fruitiness that rounds out the edges. The combination creates something unexpected: smoke that feels inhabited rather than harsh, tea that smells of both ritual and memory. On the skin, the fragrance evolves slowly.
