Why it exists.
The beginning
Kate Spade New York launched Live Colorfully in 2013. Daphné Bugey and the team at Firmenich built it in-house. The composition opens with bright mandarin citrus that mingles with cool aquatic water lily, creating an immediate sense of freshness. Star anise adds an unexpected warmth to the top notes, a subtle spice that surprises without overwhelming. As the fragrance develops, creamy white florals emerge, gardenia and tiare flower working together to form a smooth, tropical heart that never becomes heavy or cloying. Coconut water runs through the heart notes like a gentle stream, keeping everything light and approachable. The drydown settles into soft vanilla and skin-friendly musk, warm but restrained.
