The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
PM is part of a collection created with Producer Michael, a creative professional whose sensibility shaped the fragrance's development. Shadi Samra built the composition around contrast, pairing the initial spark of juniper and citrus with something richer waiting underneath. The juniper arrives crisp and almost medicinal, cutting through the citrus brightness with a cool, green edge that lasts well into the heart of the fragrance. The citrus does not simply sweeten the opening but provides a luminous counterpoint, making the juniper feel sharper, more defined. What emerges underneath is a gradual deepening, a shift from brightness toward warmth that happens almost imperceptibly.
The architecture separates PM from typical leather fragrances. Rather than opening with leather and letting it dominate, the top accord, juniper, cardamom, French lemon, creates a clean, almost sparkling entry before the florals arrive. Indian tuberose carries a lush white floral character that adds body without sweetness. The Italian leather in the heart doesn't announce itself immediately; it waits for the right moment. This sequencing matters: the fragrance earns its depth rather than leading with it.
The evolution
The opening spark of juniper and citrus gives way as the florals deepen in the heart. Tuberose arrives with its lush white floral character, adding body and presence to the composition against the spice. Italian leather emerges alongside, quality leather that is unmistakable in its richness. Cedarwood and Indonesian patchouli give the heart an earthy, warm depth that supports the florals and leather. Orris root adds a refined quality that keeps the leather from overwhelming the composition. As the fragrance moves into its final stages, the drydown settles into amber, benzoin, and labdanum, a resinous, warm finish that stays close to the skin rather than projecting outward. The drydown is where this fragrance earns its reputation. Amber and benzoin create a warm, balsamic embrace, while labdanum adds a resinous, almost animalic quality that grounds the entire composition.
Cultural impact
PM has found its audience among fragrance enthusiasts who appreciate its bold leather-forward character and longevity. The collection reflects a creative approach to fragrance development, bringing professionals from outside the industry into the process. PM occupies a specific space: not a formal evening fragrance, but one that suits someone who moves through ordinary evenings with something more assertive in their presence. The strong sillage and lasting power make it a statement choice for those who want projection and depth.
