Louise Turner, a perfumer at Givaudan, was tasked with creating something addictive that would last beyond dawn, capturing the idea of a protective cocoon that wraps the wearer through the night and into morning. Turner chose ambrette as the foundational note because it provides both the impression of clean skin and introduces musky warmth from the first moment. Bergamot and grapefruit were added to create immediate brightness, ensuring the opening felt welcoming rather than heavy.
