Knight of Darkness landed in 2026 from Dark Tales, an indie house with Arina P. Franzén as brand owner and perfume maker. The official description reads like a scene: polished armor, forest paths, sacred vows, a smoky amber sky. Knight of Darkness is that scene rendered in scent. The composition was created in collaboration with Secret Perfume and arrived as a limited 30ml unisex parfum. Dark Tales builds each release around a tale, and this one draws on the imagery of the knight who rides out at dusk and comes back changed, the knight who comes back darker. The name doesn't just decorate the bottle, it dictates what's inside. Each accord is chosen to carry a piece of the story forward, from the first bright herbs to the last smoky trail.
What stands out about Knight of Darkness is how it builds its darkness across registers rather than leaning on a single heavy hitter. The top opens green and herbal with rosemary, basil, and neroli, a sharp, aromatic first impression that cuts cleanly without ever feeling sharp in a cologne sense.
