The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Jazmin takes its name from the jasmine that grows wild across Ibiza, the "white flower" whose name comes from the Persian for just that. Campos de Ibiza built its identity around translating the landscapes and botanicals of the island into scent. Jasmine has always sat at the center of that story. The fragrance arrived in 2006, part of a collection that also included almond blossom, fig, and mandarin, each one a botanical marker of the island's particular atmosphere. The idea was to capture jasmine the way it exists on Ibiza: not as a single extracted note, but as part of the island's evening garden, where the air is thick with fragrance and the white petals glow softly against the darkening sky.
What makes this composition interesting is the way it layers white florals rather than leaning on one. Jasmine leads, yes, but ylang-ylang brings tropical sweetness, gardenia adds velvety depth, tuberose contributes creaminess, and white rose offers a quiet freshness that keeps the heart from becoming heavy. These five florals don't simply stack, they create something more textured than any single note could achieve. The opening notes of galbanum and bergamot matter here too: they provide a cool, crisp counterpoint that prevents the heart from overwhelming the senses.
The evolution
The opening is cool and green, galbanum's herbaceous bite arrives first, then bergamot softens it with a brief citrus brightness. Jasmine appears first, pure and slightly indolic, then ylang-ylang joins with its tropical sweetness. Gardenia and tuberose follow, adding richness and creaminess to the white floral heart. White rose threads through quietly, keeping the density from becoming too heavy. The heart is dense, luminous, and unapologetically lush. Sandalwood, oakmoss, and amber arrive at the edges of the florals, slowly taking over while the white flowers fade but never fully disappear. What remains is a warm, powdery, slightly mossy base that clings close to skin for several more hours.
Cultural impact
Jazmin sits comfortably within the Campos de Ibiza approach: natural, unhurried, unperformed. It offers a white floral that speaks quietly rather than shouts, appealing to those who find satisfaction in a well-crafted garden-inspired fragrance without needing it to announce itself across a room. The composition holds true to the brand's commitment to botanical honesty, presenting jasmine and its floral companions in a form that feels genuine rather than manufactured.
