Magman landed in 2010 from Arno Sorel, one of the earlier releases from a house still finding its shape. The name carries weight, a play on magnetism, the kind of pull that draws a room without asking permission. It was composed for men who wear their confidence in motion rather than declaration. The composition takes a confident stance with an aromatic fruity profile that leads with tropical brightness and warm spice rather than retreating into heavier territory. Pineapple opens with a juicy snap, lifted by bergamot and given an earthy undertow from cumin. Nutmeg weaves a clean heat through the top, adding a subtle bite that keeps the sweetness from tipping into syrup.
The pineapple is the unusual suspect. It leads with a sharp tropical sweetness that catches you off guard, almost candied but not quite, with a slight green edge that keeps it grounded. Pairing it with cumin and nutmeg rather than something more conventional shows a deliberate hand, layering earthy warmth and aromatic spice beneath the fruit so the opening feels spiced rather than simple. Brazilian rosewood, often called rosewood in shorter listings, anchors the heart with a creamy woody warmth that bridges the fruit into something more grounded.
The evolution
