The beginning
Glicine is Acca Kappa's idea of restraint. Released in 2004 as an Eau de Cologne, it takes its name from the Italian word for wisteria, the cascading bloom that hangs heavy and fragrant from garden arbors in late spring. Rather than chase complexity, Acca Kappa let one flower carry the composition. The wisteria arrives in the heart and stays present, its delicate floral character threading through the composition as it develops. Citrus and melon open bright and dewy, framing the floral heart without competing with it. Sandalwood and vanilla arrive to settle everything into something warm and close. The result is a cologne that behaves like a quiet argument for simplicity, nothing proves itself here, and that is exactly the point.
