Acca Kappa traces its origins to 1869, when Hermann Krüll, a Prussian merchant who had settled in Treviso, established a company dedicated to manufacturing fine hairbrushes and combs. Treviso, a historic city in Northern Italy's Veneto region, served as the base for what would become a multi-generational family business. Krüll built the company on principles of quality and precision, creating grooming tools that earned a reputation for craftsmanship. For over a century, Acca Kappa remained primarily a brush manufacturer, supplying professional hair care tools while building a foundation in Italian artisan production. The transition into perfumery occurred gradually, with the house leveraging its expertise in fine materials and工匠技艺 to develop fragrance lines. The 1869 Eau de Cologne, launched to mark the company's heritage, pays direct homage to its founding year. White Moss, introduced in 1997, became the house's most recognizable fragrance and established Acca Kappa as a serious player in Italian perfumery. Throughout its history, the brand has remained family-controlled, maintaining production in the Veneto region and preserving its founding values. The company expanded its range to include body care, hair care, and home fragrances, all designed under a philosophy of understated elegance.
