The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Lágrima Sagrada means "sacred tear," and Prissana built the whole composition around that image: something devotional that arrived by falling, by loss, by the kind of offering that doesn't ask to be understood. Perfumer Prin Lomros reached for materials that carry the weight of ritual without the theater. Palo santo for the wood, copal resin for the smoke, myrrh and frankincense for the centuries of church and temple they already carry. Lavender and tomato leaf open the composition with a sharp, almost herbal green that keeps the incense from tipping into pure abstraction, and the heart introduces nagarmotha, immortelle, and oakmoss in a register that reads as soil and root rather than air.
What makes the construction unusual is the absence of sweetness. Lomros stripped that out. Instead, the green snap of tomato leaf runs counter to the resins, and immortelle's maple-curry bitterness keeps the heart from collapsing into pure smoke. The nagarmotha and oakmoss do the structural work, holding the composition in soil rather than air. It's a frankincense fragrance built like a forest floor rather than a nave ceiling, and that structural choice ripples through every phase of the wear.
The evolution
The first ten minutes belong to the green. Tomato leaf and a raw, almost herbal lavender cut through before the resins have fully woken up, and for a brief window it reads almost like a vegetable garden after rain, sharp and alive. By the twenty-minute mark the palo santo and copal arrive in earnest, and the composition tilts toward smoke, but never the campfire kind. More like resin heated over a low flame in a closed room. Around the two-hour point, immortelle deepens into that curry-maple bitterness that signals the composition has committed to its dry architecture rather than softening into amber. The base settles into cedar and a quiet trace of Australian sandalwood, with myrrh and frankincense still pulsing underneath like a memory of what the opening was. Spikenard threads a faint root note through the drydown, keeping the close earthbound rather than polished.
Cultural impact
Lágrima Sagrada has found its audience through exclusivity and quiet word of mouth, and its distribution through Ecuación Natural has shaped the kind of wearer it reaches. The composition's devotional register suits a collector who treats fragrance as private practice rather than public announcement, and the scent rewards that posture. Wearers describe it as the perfume of someone who walks into a room and doesn't need to announce themselves, a quiet close presence rather than a projection. Its restricted availability and conceptual clarity have made it a favorite among collectors who prize authorship and restraint over reach and visibility.
