What gives Luna Radiante its particular pull is the Brazilian material in the middle and the base. Paramela brings a resinous quality to the heart of the composition, a greenness that has some of the depth of traditional chypre materials but reads with its own character. It occupies the kind of space where a more classical construction might reach for oakmoss absolute, and that swap gives the drydown a different kind of gravity. Priprioca works in a similar register at the base, bringing warmth that anchors everything below the florals.

The evolution

The first ten minutes belong to bitter orange and pink pepper buzzing just under the surface. Bright, almost sparkling, but with that pepper adding a faint static charge. It reads more like peeling citrus zest than juice, dry and aromatic rather than syrupy. By the thirty-minute mark the jasmine has arrived. Lily of the valley softens its edges. The paramela is working underneath, pulling the whole thing toward something greener, less obviously floral. This is where the chypre architecture starts to show. The white florals stop smelling like a bouquet and start smelling like a single flower on damp ground. The drydown takes its time. Patchouli and moss settle into priprioca's woody warmth, and what stays on skin after three or four hours is that earthy base, faintly sweet from whatever remains of the jasmine, faintly citrus from what's clung to your clothes.
