The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Sun Soaked draws directly from founder Almira Armstrong's travels through Mallorca, translated into scent alongside perfumer Florian Gallo. Released in 2025, the collaboration introduces Gallo's approach to the Lumira catalog. On skin, the fragrance opens with the crisp snap of green pear, cold and just-picked, set against the cool sweetness of fig leaf. As the minutes pass, that bright green-fruit top gives way to a creamy honeysuckle heart, warm and slightly honeyed, like walking past a stone garden in late afternoon. The drydown leans into a soft musky warmth, recalling sun-warmed skin rather than the cooler climates most florals seem designed for.
What makes this composition work isn't the fruit, though the green pear, blackcurrant, and strawberry opening is generous. It's the way the heart pulls back before things get cloying. Peony, rose, and honeysuckle land in the white-floral register, but there's enough green pear lingering from the top to keep the whole thing from tipping into confection. The strawberry adds a soft jamminess without ever reading as candy, and the pink pepper puts a faint hum of warmth underneath the sweetness, a low-grade heat that keeps the composition from feeling like a dessert. It is a study in restraint disguised as abundance.
The evolution
Sun Soaked opens with a burst of green fruit, green pear and green grape hitting simultaneously with a brightness that borders on sparkling, then blackcurrant and strawberry rounding it into something fuller and more familiar. The pink pepper is subtle, a suggestion rather than a statement, more warmth than spice. Within twenty minutes the fruit recedes and the florals take over, peony and honeysuckle leading, with rose adding weight and lily of the valley adding that cool, dewy quality that keeps the whole heart from going powdery. The honeysuckle is the star here, warm and almost edible, the note that makes the whole composition feel like late afternoon rather than morning. By the two-hour mark the base settles in, and this is where the fragrance earns its quiet confidence. Musk goes soft and close, cedarwood adds a dry, slightly creamy woodiness that keeps everything grounded. The drydown lasts well into the evening, the kind of skin scent that someone will notice leaning in but won't catch across a room. On fabric, traces linger into the next day.
Cultural impact
Sun Soaked is a summer fragrance that earned industry recognition early, winning Best Fragrance at the 2025 Pure Beauty Global Awards. Its green-fruit opening and honeysuckle heart make it a natural fit for warm-weather wear, particularly spring and summer days when the composition reads at its most expressive. The pear note gives it a freshness that works beautifully in heat, while the honeysuckle adds a creamy sweetness that doesn't turn cloying when temperatures climb. Wearers tend to reach for it on unhurried days, weekends, vacations, long lunches that stretch into golden afternoons.
