The evolution

The opening is pure blue light. Bergamot, lemon, lime, and orange hit in a sharp citrus chord, with jasmine threading through almost invisibly to soften what might otherwise read as bracing. The citrus combination is layered rather than simple: bergamot provides a slight bitterness, lemon and lime contribute that sharp acidic cut, and orange rounds out the sharpness with a rounder sweetness. Then something shifts as the composition develops. The citrus recedes and Calone takes over, lending a cool, almost plastic-bright quality, the way sunlight through a prism scatters. Violet, freesia, and cyclamen bloom underneath, powdery and slightly metallic, while nutmeg adds a low warmth beneath the florals. The cyclamen contributes a watery, almost translucent floral note that reinforces the aquatic impression without becoming overtly marine.
