The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Ten Miles arrived in 2021 from Fratelli Diamanti, a house founded in 2012 with strong ties to both Italy and Turkey. Ceyhan Elmas is the perfumer credited here. The composition sets apricot and pink pepper against rose, osmanthus, amber, sandalwood, musk, and leather. Its central idea is contrast: a small, vivid floral heart framed by fruit, spice, and a dry material base. That gives the fragrance a measured warmth, less like a simple floral perfume and more like a fragrance with a polished inner tension. The name suggests distance and recognition, but the verified details do not assign it a specific place or story.
The interesting part is the handoff between textures. Apricot supplies a rounded fruitiness, pink pepper adds a pointed lift, and rose brings a familiar floral softness. Osmanthenus gives the heart a distinct floral character, while amber begins the turn toward warmth. Down below, sandalwood and musk soften the composition, and leather keeps it from becoming merely pretty. Nothing needs to shout for attention. The scent works through the way each note changes the mood of the next.
The evolution
It begins with apricot and pink pepper, a bright pairing that gives the first impression a clean, piquant edge. The spicy notes keep the fruit from becoming syrupy. Then rose and osmanthus take over, bringing a floral center that feels vivid rather than ornamental. Amber warms that middle into a golden, slightly resinous phase. As the fragrance settles, sandalwood and musk make the surface feel smoother and more intimate, while leather adds a dry, polished heat underneath. The final hours are less about brightness and more about texture, a quiet blend of skin, wood, musk, and leather. With moderate projection, it should leave a noticeable trail early on, then become a closer, lasting impression over roughly 4-6 hours.
Cultural impact
Fratelli Diamanti sits in a cosmopolitan niche-perfume context where Italian presentation meets Turkish and Middle Eastern fragrance references. Ten Miles belongs to the house's Diamond Collection and reflects that exchange through its floral, spicy, and polished base. Its strongest appeal is for wearers drawn to fragrances with a polished surface and a warmer, more tactile underside.
The House
Fratelli DiamantiFratelli Diamanti is an Italian-named fragrance house founded by Ceyhan and Erhan Elmas, brothers whose work places scent at the meeting point of Italian perfumery and Middle Eastern fragrance culture. The brand presents a broad collection of niche perfumes, including Al Cielo, Royal Oud, Reborn Rose, Sha'mamia, Ten Miles, Shades of Grey, Florence, Al Mare, Al Vento and Montecristo. Its catalogue moves between oud-led compositions, floral names, atmospheric scents and references to place and travel. Public descriptions identify the house with extrait de parfum, giving the collection a clear identity within concentrated fragrance. Fratelli Diamanti also developed the Diamond Collection, a 15-fragrance series reported to include Montecristo, one of the house’s most discussed releases.
The Creator
Ceyhan ElmasHis signature rests in the amber family, a category that rewards patience and depth over immediate brightness. Resins, balms, and base materials take center stage in his compositions, building around warmth rather than sparkle.
