The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Reborn Rose arrived in 2021 as a modern rose from Fratelli Diamanti, composed by Ceyhan Elmas. The name suggests a flower returning with more ambition than it had before. Its rose isn't a neat little bouquet. It opens with the spice of saffron and the red-fruit lift of raspberry, then finds a warmer, darker register through geranium, patchouli, and guaiac wood. Together, the notes move between rose's traditional romance and a more tactile kind of sensuality, less petal than atmosphere. Saffron gives the opening a dry, aromatic heat, while raspberry adds a bright, juicy contrast. Geranium brings a green, rose-like sharpness, and patchouli deepens the composition with an earthy, persistent warmth. Guaiac wood reinforces the darker character, lending the fragrance a smoky, woody weight.
The interesting part is how the rose is framed. Raspberry gives it a juicy, almost red-wine brightness, while geranium adds a green, powdery floral edge. Saffron brings the opening a flash of heat, so the first impression is more vivid than conventionally rosy. Then the heart deepens with patchouli and guaiac wood, turning the flower into something earthier and more dimensional. Vanilla and ambergris in the base supply sweetness and warmth without making the composition feel like a simple gourmand. Together, these materials make Reborn Rose feel less like a single flower than a floral idea with shadows, which is where its modernity lives.
The evolution
The opening arrives with a bright, peppered pulse: saffron, raspberry, and geranium make the rose feel almost illuminated from within. As those notes settle, the flower takes on weight. Rose moves into the center, supported by patchouli and guaiac wood, and the composition becomes warmer, darker, and more grounded. The sweetness of raspberry doesn't vanish entirely; it softens into the gourmand warmth of vanilla, while ambergris gives the drydown a smooth, skin-like depth. Musk keeps the final trail close and polished. This is the arc to notice: the rose starts almost impulsive, then becomes velvety and woody, finally settling into a warm floral musk that keeps its shape after the first brightness has faded.
Cultural impact
Reborn Rose presents a modern interpretation of the rose note through a composition shaped by contrasting materials. Saffron and raspberry create an expressive opening, bringing spice and red-fruit brightness to the fragrance. Geranium adds a green, herbal edge, while patchouli and guaiac wood deepen the center and dry base with earthy and woody tones. This combination gives the rose a more dimensional character, moving between freshness, floral warmth, and darker texture. The scent is especially engaging for discovery because its familiar rose accord is presented through several distinct layers rather than a simple bouquet.
The House
Fratelli DiamantiFratelli Diamanti is an Italian-named fragrance house founded by Ceyhan and Erhan Elmas, brothers whose work places scent at the meeting point of Italian perfumery and Middle Eastern fragrance culture. The brand presents a broad collection of niche perfumes, including Al Cielo, Royal Oud, Reborn Rose, Sha'mamia, Ten Miles, Shades of Grey, Florence, Al Mare, Al Vento and Montecristo. Its catalogue moves between oud-led compositions, floral names, atmospheric scents and references to place and travel. Public descriptions identify the house with extrait de parfum, giving the collection a clear identity within concentrated fragrance. Fratelli Diamanti also developed the Diamond Collection, a 15-fragrance series reported to include Montecristo, one of the house’s most discussed releases.
