Tagetes Femme arrived in 2012 from Shelley Waddington's En Voyage, and it takes its name from tagetes, the marigold genus, those pungent, sharp-edged flowers with a distinctive presence in the garden. The composition treats a flower most fragrance lovers have never smelled isolated, pairing it with the creamy, vanillic comfort of a fireside afternoon. En Voyage's line includes New York Man and the Carmel-by-the-Sea Collection, and Tagetes Femme extends the house's sensibility into a garden setting with its own botanical logic. The marigold sits at the center, sharp and herbaceous, surrounded by orange blossom, rose absolute, vanilla, white sage, tonka bean, sandalwood, patchouli, and soft resins.
