Ekipāža, meaning The Crew, arrived from Dzintars in 2010, a Latvian house. The name suggests company, passengers, a journey shared. It is an everyday composition, not a statement piece, and it wears that modesty openly. The fragrance opens with a brisk clarity, the ginger cutting in almost immediately with a sharp, citrus-edged spice that runs through the entire wear. Fern settles alongside, green and dry rather than sweet, and the combination reads less like a barbershop standby and more like something pulled from a forest path. There's a quiet structure underneath, herbaceous and resinous, that gives the whole composition its shape without ever announcing itself. The resins glide in softly. No heavy amber, no tobacco pulling it down. Just a clean woody trail that stays close to the skin.
The interesting move here is the ginger. That sharper, almost citrus-edged spice gives the whole composition a drier, greener tilt, one that reads more outdoors than your typical aromatic.
