The beginning
Garden Of Youth Baag-e-Javaani was released by Sasva Parfums in 2022, with Spanish perfumer Jordi Fernández composing the fragrance. The composition centers on a floral study built from Champaca flower, tuberose, and rangoon creeper, dressed in saffron and blackcurrant, grounded by amber and a quiet leathery drydown. The opening carries a warm, slightly sharp welcome from saffron and blackcurrant, while the heart unfolds with the creamy weight of Champaca and the dewy lift of rangoon creeper. Tuberose threads through the midphase alongside the more familiar jasmine sambac, rose, and ylang-ylang, lending the composition its dense, petal-heavy sweetness. The base settles into amber and a soft leathery note that keeps the florals from drifting into pure sweetness.
What Fernández does well here is balancing the less common floral materials with more familiar ones. Champaca flower and rangoon creeper bring a creamy warmth and a dewy lift that give the heart its particular character, while jasmine sambac, tuberose, and rose anchor the composition in a recognizable floral vocabulary. Saffron and pink pepper give the opening a warm, slightly sharp welcome that cuts through what could otherwise read as an overly sweet floral.

The first ten minutes belong to saffron and pink pepper, sharpened by blackcurrant and lime. It is a bright, slightly tart opening that reads almost candied at first spray. As the fragrance settles, the white florals begin to surface. Rangoon creeper adds a dewy, candy-floral lift that softens the tuberose's usual narcotic intensity, pulling the composition toward something more garden-fresh than heavy. Amber settles in slowly, replacing the floral lift with something warmer and more resinous, like the smell of resin warming in the late afternoon sun.
