Why it exists.
The beginning
Un Amore Eterno joined Roja Dove's Profumi D'Amore collection in 2016, part of a series that translates the language of love into scent. The name is Italian for a love that doesn't end, and the composition reads like that promise, built to linger and to keep giving long after the first impression. Roja Dove composed it himself, drawing from the kind of materials he returns to when he wants both lushness and edge: May rose and Grasse jasmine layered against tuberose's creamy weight, iris powder, and beneath it all the gourmand undertow of cocoa, coffee, and vanilla. It's a love letter written in materials that don't fade politely. The opening lemon gives it air, the florals give it body, the base gives it teeth.
What makes Un Amore Eterno distinctive isn't any single note, it's the collision. A classical floral heart of May rose, Grasse jasmine, tuberose, and violet is anchored by iris and saffron that together create a soft, almost tactile depth. Then the base does something unexpected, mixing cocoa and coffee with spices (clove, ginger, saffron) and the creamy warmth of vanilla, cashmeran, and ambergris. The result sits between haute perfumery and a gourmand dessert plate, floral-spicy rather than purely oriental or purely gourmand. It's a composition that refuses to sit in one lane.
The evolution
The first hour is deceptive. Lemon opens bright, almost citrus-clean, and you might think you're in for something light. Then the florals flood in. Rose, jasmine, tuberose, and violet arrive together, dense and slightly powdered, and the iris underneath them gives the whole thing a suede-like softness. This is the loudest phase. It projects. People across the room will catch it. Around the two-hour mark the spices wake up. Saffron, clove, and ginger push through the florals, and the cocoa begins to surface, dark and faintly bitter against the cream of the flowers. The coffee note appears not as a beverage but as a shadow, roasted and dry. This middle phase is where the fragrance earns its name: less a love letter now, more the memory of one. By hour five or six you're in the drydown, and this is where Un Amore Eterno settles into its truest self. Vanilla softens everything. Cashmere wood and cedarwood give it a close, fabric-like warmth. The ambergris and musk create a skin-hugging haze that lasts well past eight hours.
