The evolution
51 Pour Homme opens with a sharp burst of lemon and bergamot, sliced by cool lavender that reads more aromatic than soapy. Within 15 minutes the citrus rounds out and geranium plus a tightly woven floral heart take over, giving the composition a powdery lift that prevents the leather base from dominating too early. By hour two the base asserts itself: supple leather, a restrained whisper of oud, benzoin sweetness, and a dense musk-sandalwood drydown. From hour four onward the scent settles into a warm skin-scent that holds well into the evening, with the projection gradually drawing closer rather than announcing itself across a room. The trajectory moves from bright and confident in the first hour to dense, resinous, and unmistakably evening by the drydown.
