The beginning
Dare you dear me !/? arrived in 2024 from Parfum Büro | M-collections, composed by Maurizio Cerizza. The name reads like a dare whispered across a crowded table, and the scent leans into that invitation, pointing toward something softer than the name suggests. Cerizza built the composition around a contrast: a bright, almost edible opening pivoting into a warm, resinous base that doesn't try to impress you. It doesn't perform. It just stays. The fragrance opens with a crackle of green apple tartness layered over warm bread, while citrus notes cut through the sweetness like a window thrown open. Blackcurrant adds a dark fruit edge that keeps the opening from feeling too innocent.
The unusual note here is bread. Most fruity-floral compositions skip straight from citrus into flowers, but here the Granny Smith apple and the bread note arrive together, creating a bakery-window effect that grounds the brightness before the florals take over. That bread keeps the green apple from reading as a generic fruity top and instead gives it the warmth of something just pulled from an oven.
