Methexis takes its name from an ancient Greek word for the communion between the human and the divine. For Manos Gerakinis, this concept became the brief for his collaboration with perfumer Chris Maurice. The choice of fig as the fragrance's anchor was deliberate: in ancient Athens, fig was one of three seeds so vital to the city's prosperity. Gerakinis wanted to translate that weight, the sacred, the historical, the sensually ripe, into a wearable composition. Working with Maurice, he built the fragrance around a tension: sweetness that doesn't cloy, warmth that doesn't overwhelm, a gourmand heart that stays sophisticated.
