Manos Gerakinis conceived this fragrance to reflect his own taste and personality, returning to the notes that define his house vocabulary: oud, patchouli, amber. What makes the structure interesting is how the precious materials amplify each other rather than competing. Saffron brings a faint metallic sharpness that keeps the spice from becoming heavy. The oud and patchouli combination is classic Gerakinis territory, earthy, resinous, a little feral, but here they arrive after the top notes have already softened the landing. Cedar bridges the transition. By the time amber and vanilla arrive in the base, the composition has already done its work of convincing you that warmth isn't the same as softness.
