The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Earth Elixir began as a conversation with itself. Nuria Cruelles had already built Earth, a floral-earthy composition grounded in the Loewe Accord, that signature note of Spanish Rockrose she developed for the house. Earth Elixir is the result of revisiting that original work with an eye toward concentration. The answer arrived in 2024 as a concentrated recalibration. More essential oils. More intensity. More of everything that made the original worth amplifying. The name says it all, this is Earth treated as something worth distilling, concentrating, making more potent. Not a sequel. An elixir.
What makes Earth Elixir distinct isn't a new note or a foreign material. It's the Loewe Accord itself, that complex, resinous signature built from Spanish Rockrose, or cistus. In the original Earth, the accord played a supporting role. In Earth Elixir, Cruelles lets it lead. The result is a fragrance that wears its terroir openly: dry, resinous, sun-baked earthiness threaded through a heart of powdery violet and warm mimosa. The truffle in the opening isn't decoration, it's the grounding mechanism, the dark mineral counterweight to the florals above. Pear keeps it approachable.
The evolution
The opening arrives in layers. Truffle first, that dark, almost fecal earthiness that smells like something pulled from damp soil. Then pear, sweet and bright, cutting through to keep things from getting too heavy. Oud anchors the whole thing, a woody bass note that settles under the florals like bedrock. Within twenty minutes, the truffle softens. Violets emerge, powdery and cool, followed by mimosa's warm yellow sweetness. The hand-off is gradual, no sharp transition, just a slow shift from earth to flower. By the second hour, the drydown settles into Cistus Incanus: resinous, warm, close to skin. This is where Earth Elixir lives for most of its life. Intimate. Quiet. The next morning, there's a faint warmth left on the wrist, resin and memory.
Cultural impact
Earth Elixir arrives as a concentrated amplification of the original Earth. The house has built a following for scents that feel grounded in place and material rather than trend. Earth Elixir continues that sensibility, offering more depth and intensity for those drawn to its earthy-floral character.
