The evolution

The opening is quick and bright. Tonka bean and rose arrive together, sweet, almost candied, before orchid slides in with something cooler, something that doesn't announce itself. Coriander adds a brief sparkle, a quick citrus lift that disappears before you've had time to name it. The heart phase begins as the sweetness deepens. Honey arrives first, warm, slow, with a pulse that suggests something golden and slightly animalic. Pink pepper keeps things honest underneath, a quiet spark that grounds the sweetness without competing with it. Lily of the Valley cools the florals as they take their turn, keeping the warmth from tipping into something heavy. The drydown belongs to tobacco and bourbon vanilla. The tobacco isn't smoky, it's the soft kind, the smell of velvet and warm wood in amber light.
