Why it exists.
The beginning
Bem-Me-Quer com Doçura launched in 2014 as part of Jequiti's Bem-Me-Quer collection. Perfumer Marion Costero composed a fragrance that reads like its name turned into scent: playful, tender, a little girlish without being childish. The name "com Doçura", "with sweetness", is the brief, and everything in the bottle follows it. The opening pours on candied fruit, pineapple, peach, plum, apple, and pear, that quickly settles into a softer floral heart of jasmine and gardenia laced with a genuine milk accord. That milk is what gives the composition its character: a cool, lactonic creaminess that runs underneath the florals rather than vanishing into them. The base of vanilla, sandalwood, and white musk rounds it out into something warm and softly powdered.
What makes this composition worth slowing down for is the milk note in the heart. Milk in perfumery isn't new, but pairing it with gardenia and jasmine gives the scent a lactonic creaminess that reads fresh rather than baked. The plum and raspberry top adds a candied edge, while the vanilla-musk base holds everything in that warm, just-out-of-the-dryer territory. The milk accord acts as a bridge between the bright fruit opening and the softer floral mid-stage, almost like a thin layer of condensed sweetness poured between two slices of cake.
The evolution
The first ten minutes are loud fruit. Pineapple cuts through first, sharp and almost tropical, then peach and plum soften it into something jam-like. Apple and pear add a watery crispness that keeps it from going cloying, and the whole opening hums with that syrupy, sugary edge that signals a gourmand from the first spritz. Around the thirty-minute mark the white florals arrive, jasmine and gardenia with that milk note threading between them, and the composition shifts from breakfast table to bath time. The sweetness settles deeper into the skin, taking on a softer, more skin-like quality as the fruit fades into the background. By the two-hour mark the fruit has mostly receded, and what remains is warm vanilla, a touch of sandalwood, and a clean musk that keeps the drydown from turning heavy.

Bem-Me-Quer com Doçura sits firmly in the sweet, youthful corner of Brazilian perfumery, the kind of composition that makes no apologies for its sugar content.
