The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
CEO arrived in 2023 as part of Giardino Benessere's Titani collection, a line that gathers the house's most commanding compositions under one banner. The name does exactly what it says. No hedging, no apology. CEO wears that philosophy on its sleeve. It is opulence cut to the bone, sourced from across the globe and assembled with Italian precision. A scent that asks nothing because it already answered. What strikes you first is the weight of the juice itself, rich and almost syrupy in the bottle, promising something dense before it even hits skin. Once sprayed, it opens with a controlled burst of citrus sharpened by honey, the sweetness pulled taut rather than left to spill. There's a herbal green flicker beneath it all, something resinous that keeps the brightness honest.
What's unusual here is the sourcing. CEO pulls from an almost absurdly global palette: Brazilian orange, Bulgarian rose, Italian honey, Calabrian bergamot and lime, Ceylonese cinnamon, Israeli galbanum, Singapore patchouli, Egyptian geranium, Indian jasmine sambac, La Réunion vanilla, Greek artemisia, Italian oakmoss, Sudanese opoponax. Nine countries before you hit the base notes. The way those ingredients meet on skin tells a story of their own.
The evolution
The opening arrives bright and busy, citrus colliding with honey and lavender, cinnamon threading underneath like a whispered dare. Galbanum cuts green across the whole thing, keeping it from tipping into pastry territory. Twenty minutes in, the rose and jasmine sambac push forward, patchouli darkens the floor, and ginger adds a clean, almost clinical heat. Tuscan leather settles into the composition like a chair creaking under weight. The drydown is where CEO earns its name. Musk, oakmoss, and ambergris take over the room. Vanilla rounds the edges without softening them. Opoponax and artemisia add a smoky, slightly bitter resin note that lasts deep into the next morning. The opening phase feels almost celebratory, all citrus sparkle and warm spice, but it quickly matures into something far more grounded.
Cultural impact
CEO wears like the fragrance equivalent of a tailored blazer, structured enough for the boardroom, warm enough for dinner after. It pulls global sourcing (Brazilian orange, Indian jasmine, La Réunion vanilla) into a composition that feels distinctly Mediterranean. It's a scent for people who want presence without volume. The opening projects confidence without raising its voice, and the leather and resin in the heart give it a tactile, almost architectural quality. You can smell it across a room without it overwhelming the conversation, which is precisely the kind of balance that makes a fragrance feel relevant far beyond its first wearing.
