The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Hashabis emerged from Giardino Benessere's 2018 vision of scent as mental-wellness therapy. In 2019 perfumer Paolo Terenzi set out to bottle the raw energy of fresh greenery and the rebellious spirit of cannabis, pairing them with the bright snap of red berries. The result is a unisex ode that mirrors the duality of nature: wild yet refined, therapeutic yet daring.
Giardino Benessere treats each note as a therapeutic element, and Hashabis pairs the calming, grounding properties of hemp with the uplifting brightness of berries. The juniper heart brings clarity and focus, while the musk and cedarwood drydown offers a return to earth. This is fragrance as intentional wellness: every pairing serves a purpose, every layer contributes to an emotional arc.
The evolution
The fragrance opens with an immediate burst of berry sweetness from raspberry and blackcurrant, while hemp introduces its green, slightly resinous presence almost from the start. Blueberry softens the transition while dew drop note keeps the opening feeling crisp. As the top notes recede, hemp and hemp flower dominate the heart, their herbal character amplified by juniper's dry, gin-like quality. The drydown strips away the berry sweetness entirely, revealing a warm base of musk and allspice grounded by cedarwood's persistent woody warmth.
Cultural impact
When Hashabis launched in 2019, it arrived at a moment when wellness‑focused branding was reshaping the perfume market. Giardino Benessere positioned the scent as a therapeutic green‑herbal experience, echoing the rise of mindfulness practices in urban life. By embedding cannabis‑like notes within a bright red‑fruit frame, the fragrance tapped into a growing curiosity about natural, plant‑derived aromatics, while its unisex orientation reflected a cultural shift toward gender‑fluid expression in fragrance consumption.
