The Story
Why it exists.
The beginning
Simone Lo Bue spent summers in a sun-drenched garden where the air smelled of ripe fruit and warm earth. Rather than reconstructing that garden, she set out to bottle the sensation of lazy afternoons, of time stretching without urgency. Dreamy Cloud emerged not as a memory of place but as a memory of feeling. The Italian-Swiss perfumer, known for compositions rooted in emotional resonance rather than technical novelty, chose ingredients that capture a specific kind of ease. Pomegranate and watermelon represent the sharp hydration of biting into cold fruit, while the yogurt and toffee in the base echo the simple pleasure of sweet treats enjoyed outdoors.
Dreamy Cloud reflects a deliberate philosophy: fruit forward but not juvenile, sweet but not dessert-like. The yogurt note serves as a bridge between gourmand and skin scent, something rarely attempted. Each layer, from pomegranate to cedarwood, was chosen to represent a different facet of a single summer afternoon. The fragrance invites layering in the imagination as well. It pairs naturally with warm evening light, linen textures, and bare feet. There is no performance anxiety here. The notes settle rather than shout, and the wearer becomes the scene rather than the spectacle.
The evolution
The scent begins with a burst of pomegranate and rhubarb, their tartness balanced by watermelon and raspberry, softened further by plum. This opening reads as immediate and refreshing, a quick hit of summer. Within fifteen minutes, the gourmand accord rises, and cake notes become apparent, mingling with jasmine and frangipani. Guaiac wood introduces a subtle smoky warmth that keeps the heart from being purely sweet. As hours pass, musk and yogurt come forward, their creamy character tempering the fruit and florals above. Solar notes and toffee extend the warmth, and cedarwood provides the structural close, a dry woody anchor that keeps the entire arc from dissolving into abstraction.
Cultural impact
Since its 2025 debut, Dreamy Cloud has sparked conversation among niche enthusiasts for its daring yogurt‑kissed musk, positioning it as a talk‑worthy gourmand that bridges playful sweetness with sophisticated powdery depth. Wearers often describe it as the scent of a carefree summer afternoon turned into a cozy evening, making it a frequent pick for social media showcases and fragrance‑focused gatherings.
